L’ús del llenguatge ha estat, i sempre serà, l’instrument bàsic de comunicació entre tots els científics, sent així una eina fonamental i imprescindible per l’avenç de la ciència. D’aquesta manera, també ha de ser un aspecte prioritari en l’ensenyament de les ciències a la secundària i al batxillerat. Així doncs, aquest treball proposa una sèrie d’accions per treballar aquest llenguatge científic a les classes de ciències. La proposta es basa en la combinació de diverses tècniques d’ensenyament-aprenentatge, basades en la piràmide d’aprenentatge de Cody Blair, i la diversificació d’activitats centrades en treballar el vocabulari tècnic; prenent com a premissa que al millorar la comprensió del llenguatge científic també millora la comprensió del temari. Primerament, es fa un estudi de la millora del llenguatge científic a la classe de 1r de Batxillerat de l’assignatura Física. Es realitzen diferents activitats per treballar el vocabulari tècnic de la unitat i es fa una anàlisi de dades mitjançant un pre-test/post-test. En segon lloc, es duu a terme una anàlisi d’una activitat realitzada a dues classes de 3r d’ESO de l’assignatura de Física i Química. S’analitza la comprensió del vocabulari tècnic i les valoracions de les metodologies emprades en l’activitat mitjançant un test i un qüestionari. Per últim, es realitza una activitat per treballar únicament el llenguatge científic al final de la unitat per tal de comprovar la comprensió d’aquest vocabulari assolit durant les classes. Es fa una posterior anàlisi de les produccions dels alumnes. S’aconsegueix doncs l’objectiu del treball, consistent en millorar l’ús del llenguatge científic mitjançant diferents metodologies i diversificació d’activitats centrades en el vocabulari més tècnic.

Language has been, and it will always be, a basic instrument of communication between all scientists, making it an essential and a crucial tool for the improvement of science. Therefore, language should be a main priority in the teaching of science in secondary school. Thus, this project proposes a series of actions to improve the knowledge of scientific language in science classes. The work consists of a combination of different learning techniques based on Cody’s Blair learning pyramid and a diversification of activities focused on using the technical vocabulary; taking as a premise that a better understanding of scientific language improves the understanding of the program of the subject. Firstly, it is done a study of the improvement of scientific language in 1st of Batxillerat within the Physics subject. Different activities based on the technical vocabulary of the unit are done, followed by a subsequent analysis of the data using a pre-test/post-test. Secondly, an analysis of an activity done in two classes of 3rd of ESO of the subject Physics and Chemistry is carried out. It is analysed the understanding of the technical vocabulary and the methodologies valuations used in the activity by a test and a questionnaire. Finally, an activity to work scientific language at the end of the unit is carried out to be able to check the improvement of the understanding of the vocabulary during the classes. It is done a further analysis of the student’s productions. We have reached the project’s objective, consisted in the improvement of the using of scientific language via different learning methodologies and diverse activities focused on technical vocabulary.
