For a translator, it is important to establish a proper working methodology according to/nthe demands of the scientific text. The principal aim of this academic work is to use all/nthe knowledge, skills and ability that I have acquired during this 4-year academic/ntraining period to solve all the difficulties that may appear during the translation of a/nscientific article, which will be an important part of this paper. The original paper deals/nwith the genetic and environmental factors that have an influence on whether a/npsychological disorder will develop or not. Additionally, there is also a comments/nsection where the most complex, problematic and unique aspects of this field that have/nappeared throughout the paper or the previous documentation period are gathered and/nanalyzed. There are also three terminology glossaries containing a large number of/nwords and expressions which Spanish analogous require further explanation due to their/ndifficulty. By reading this last section, it is possible to perceive the features of scientific/nlanguage, such as conciseness and precision and to note to what extent are these features/nessential in the wording of this kind of text. Facing a text of such difficulty has been an/nopportunity to realize that absorbing a great amount of literature on the subject,/nsuspecting of every single word and not being afraid of spending too much time in/nsolving each problem is essential in order to be able to provide an excellent quality/ntranslation. |
