Amara (Leuris) emmanuelivivesi n. sp., a new alpine grassland Carabid species is described, from the Moixeró mountains (Girona, Spain). The new species is clearly separated from the other three species of the subgenus Leuris by the presence of double fossae at the base of the pronotum and by the particular morphology of the aedeagus.
