Propuesta de uso de IGV para la caracterización de las actividades de ocio en el río Francolí

Abstract

Partiendo del reconocimiento de los beneficios que comporta integrar los espacios naturales como ámbitos de recreación, este estudio plantea la lectura territorial de un territorio tan frágil y sensible como el entorno del río Francolí, en Tarragona. Las múltiples presiones a las que son sometidos sus suelos permanecen en conflicto permanente con su potencial como Infraestructura Verde (IV) de soporte de una serie de programas contemporáneos ligados al ocio y las actividades al aire libre. Para ello, esta investigación presenta la caracterización sistematizada del conjunto de actividades deportivas recogidas, a partir de sistemas de Información Geográfica Voluntaria (IGV), en forma de itinerarios georreferenciados en la plataforma social deportiva Wikiloc. Su análisis estadístico y espacial desvelan su distribución territorial y permiten detectar patrones de uso, percepciones de sus usuarios y posibles ámbitos de fricción cuyo conocimiento puede contribuir a la mejora sustancial de su gestión.

Based on the acknowledgment of the benefits of integrating natural spaces as recreational areas, this study lays out the territorial interpretation of a fragile and sensitive territory such as the surroundings of the Francolí River, in Tarragona. The multiple pressures on its soils are in permanent conflict with its potential as Green Infrastructure (IV) supporting a series of contemporary programs linked to leisure and outdoor activities. Thus, this research presents the systematized characterization of the collection of sports activities registered, based on Volunteered geographic information (IGV) systems, in the form of geo- referenced itineraries on the Wikiloc social sports platform. Their statistical and spatial analysis reveals their spatial distribution and allows the detection of usage patterns, user perceptions and possible friction spaces, the comprehension of which can contribute to a substantial improvement of their management.
