Estudio del impacto socioeconómico y ambiental de la implantación de un sistema hidroeléctrico en la cascada de Ouzoud (Marruecos) y su relación con el objetivo 7 de los ODS

Abstract

A día de hoy el mundo tiene necesidad de apostar decididamente por la energía de origen renovable utilizando la nueva tecnología para la producción de energía eléctrica sostenible dentro de los objetivos generales de la ONU en desarrollo sostenible. El agua es un recurso natural que da vida a nuestro planeta, su uso se fue desarrollando con el tiempo hasta que hemos llegado a aprovecharla también para obtener energía eléctrica pero siempre debemos ser muy respetuosos con la protección del medio ambiente. La cascada de Ouzoud en Marruecos atrae a muchos turistas durante el año, sin embargo, el desarrollo turístico aún no es suficiente para mejorar los ingresos económicos de la población local, la implementación de un nuevo proyecto podría ser un fuerte salto hacia un desarrollo social y económico, ya que el área tiene un importante recurso potencial de agua. Es importante invertir en este capital natural de manera sostenible. Este trabajo tiene como objetivo primero describir la hidrología y los parámetros morfométricos de la zona, así como caracterizar el potencial socioeconómico del área del estudio, y en segundo lugar estudiar el impacto de la implementación de un sistema hidroeléctrico y su relación con el objetivo 7 de desarrollo sostenible.

Today the world has a need to bet decisively on energy from renewable sources using new technology for the production of sustainable electricity within the general objectives of the UN on sustainable development. Water is a natural resource that gives life to our planet, its use developed over time until we have come to use it also to obtain electricity but we must always be very respectful with the protection of the environment. The Ouzoud waterfall in Morocco attracts many tourists during the year, however, tourism development is still not enough to improve the economic income of the local population, the implementation of a new project could be a strong leap towards social development and economic, as the area has an important potential water resource. It is important to invest in this natural capital in a sustainable way. This work aims first to describe the hydrology and morphometric parameters of the area, as well as to characterize the socioeconomic potential of the study area, and secondly to study the impact of the implementation of a hydroelectric system and its relationship with objective 7 of sustainable development.
