Smart sensor box for Alivemaps based on NB-IOT

Abstract

Treball desenvolupat en el marc del programa "European Project Semester".

In this paper we introduce the concept of pollution city maps. Real time maps that can be used to evaluate pollution in a smart city regarding air pollution, noise pollution, natural light quality and UV index, hot areas and buildings security. These maps are build based on the information transmitted to a central web server by smart boxes scattered around the city based on NB-IOT connection. The proposed system uses a low amount of data and can be expanded by using signal processing algorithms for automatically detecting accidents and crime.
