Crossed perspectives: case studies on collective habitat as a research method

Las estancias de investigación y docencia para profesorado proporcionan una oportunidad para generar relaciones entre instituciones y poder trasladar miradas y aproximaciones diversas. El curso Housing Studies: An Open Intersectional Archive desarrollado en la escuela de arquitectura de TUDelft durante el curso 2024-2025 es el motor de la innovación que se está implementando en el Máster de Innovación en el Hábitat en la escuela de arquitectura en la Universitat Politècnica de València en el curso 2025-26. Mediante la revisión de los objetivos, la metodología, los resultados y la evaluación se reflexiona sobre cuáles son los puntos clave de esta metodología y cómo se adapta al Máster universitario de especialización para generar una investigación basada en Research by Design a través de casos de estudio.
Research and teaching residencies for faculty members offer a valuable opportunity to foster institutional collaboration and to exchange diverse perspectives and methodological approaches.The course Housing Studies: An Open Intersectional Archive, developed at the Faculty of Architecture of TU Delft during the 2024–2025 academic year, serves as the catalyst for the innovation currently being implemented in the Master's Degree in Habitat Innovation at the School of Architecture of the Universitat Politècnica de València for the 2025–2026 academic year.Through a critical review of the course’s objectives, methodology, outcomes, and assessment strategies, this reflection seeks to identify the key components of the pedagogical approach and its adaptation to a specialized academic context. The aim is to foster research grounded in Research by Design, articulated through the analysis of case studies.
