Web application to manage a chain of hotels

Abstract

This project aims to analyze and design a web based application to manage the bookings, rooms and hotels of a fictitious chain of hotels called “Flemings Hotels”. This application will manage the reservations, will provide tools to create and modify rooms and hotels, and will make available to anyone interested the possibility of booking a room. The application will manage all the information regarding users interested in renting the available rooms and will prevent or allow the employees to use the tools according to the profile that they have assigned. The user’s information as their profiles are also managed from the section of the employers. Our application will have the possibility to export lists (users, hotels, rooms) to “pdf” files and “xls” files. The implementation of this application has been done by “Eclipse 3.1” as development environment, with “exadel pro 3.5.1” and “myeclipse 4.1.1” as plugins for the eclipse; the programming languages we have use are: “jsp”, “jsf” and “Java Beans”. We have also done some functions in “javascript”. The database used is “Mysql 3.23.58”. All the images have been modified with “Adobe Photoshop 7.0”.
