Investigación cualitativa en sistemas de información: problemas cualitativos y construcción social de sistemas de información mediante teoría fundamentada en datos

Abstract

Entering Information Systems Qualitative Research requires having clarity in several aspects, some characteristic of Qualitative Research in general and others characteristic to specific Qualitative Research in Information Systems. This work is related with this last, trying to characterise the problems of Information Systems susceptible of qualitative treatment. Applying the procedures of the grounded theory method open coding, axial coding and selective coding, such problems and their qualities emerge, as well as a theory/model of social construction of information systems. The contribution of the study is to give clarity regarding two topics: the qualitative domain of Information Systems and, the use of grounded theory

La Investigación Cualitativa en Sistemas de Información requiere tener claridad en varios aspectos, algunos característicos de la Investigación Cualitativa y otros característicos de la Investigación Cualitativa dentro de Sistemas de Información. Este trabajo tiene que ver con esto último, intentando caracterizar los problemas de Sistemas de Información susceptibles de tratamiento cualitativo. Aplicando los procedimientos del método grounded theory: open coding, axial coding y selective coding, tales problemas y sus cualidades emergen, planteándose, además, una construcción social de sistemas de información. La contribución del estudio es dar claridad respecto de dos temas: el dominio cualitativo de Sistemas de Información y, la utilización de grounded theory.
