dc.description.abstract
Most of the interviews that compose Mario Benedetti's book Los poetas comunicantes (1972; second edition of 1981) were made in La Habana in the 1960s. By focusing especially on the dialogue with Nicanor Parra, this paper deals with the misunderstanding of the political reading of poetry, and the difficult correlation between the poem inner space with the social and political spheres. Keywords: Bendetti, Nicanor Parra, Cuban Revolution, collocquialism, political poetry, antipoesía, literary guerrilla.
