Abstract

The stereochemical outcome of a-amidoalkylation reactions from the chiral non-racemic bicyclic lactams trans-1 and cis-1 using indole, allyltrimethylsilane, higher order organocuprates, TMSCN, and Grignard reagents is discussed.
