Abstract

[eng] This paper offers an edition of a new Latin inscription on a white marble slab, found in the territory of the ancient Roman city of Aeso (Isona i Conca Dellà, Lleida), to the south of the Oriental Pyrenees (Hispania citerior). The surviving text is very brief and does not allow any certain reconstruction, but it was probably part of a funerary inscription. The importance of this new document lies primarily in the use of marble, which is extremely rare in the epigraphy of both the city and its ager.
