This paper is an appraisal of the main trends of islamic culture and education from the Ninth to the Thirteenth Century in al-Andalus. The study is focused in the eastern lands of Iberian Peninsula, where andalusian culture and history had deserved a great deal of scholarly and archaeological attention of the first rank.
