dc.description.abstract
Apple varieties like 'SweeTango' or
'Evercrisp', exhibit an increase in
flower produced ethylene between
flowering and 10 mm fruit size, which
causes excessive flower or fruit drop.
Experiments with both varieties
showed that double applications of
AVG (ReTain) during full bloom and
petal fall increased fruit set.
