This paper presents the preliminary results of an interdisciplinary research conducted by archaeologists and geologists in order to study cultural landscape dynamics of Congost Valley (northeastern Spain). Our presentation focuses on the fieldwork developed in a micro-regional area in Samalús, analyzing settlement dynamics, sedimentary processes and landscape shaping through agrarian terraces. First results point out the intensive occupation of these inland areas during the Iberian and the Roman periods.
