L’estructuració del territori i evolució del poblament i de la xarxa viària de l’ager Iessonensis

Abstract

Aquest treball és una aproximació a l’evolució del poblament rural i de la xarxa viària del territori de la ciutat romana de Iesso (Guissona, la Segarra) des d’època republicana fins al baix Imperi. Aquesta evolució ve marcada per la fundació d’una ciutat ex novo i la implantació d’un parcel·lari centuriat, amb la introducció de nous sistemes d’explotació del camp que representen un canvi substancial respecte del món ibèric.

This paper is an approach to the evolution of the rural settlement and the road network in the territory of the Roman city of Iesso (Guissona, Segarra) from the Roman Republic to late antiquity. This development was marked by the foundation of an ex novo city and the implantation of a centuriated field system, with the introduction of new systems of rural exploitation that represented a substantial change from the Iberian world.
