Els hipogeus de Son Sunyer (es Pil·larí, Palma), seixanta anys després

Abstract

L’any 1961 Guillem Rosselló Bordoy va fer la primera i única excavació arqueològica a l’agrupació d’hipogeus funeraris de l’edat del bronze de Son Sunyer, una de les més grans del terme municipal de Palma. Altres eminents investigadors se n’havien ocupat abans i se n’ocuparen després, com Wilfred J. Hemp, Josep Mascaró Pasarius i Cristòfol Veny, tot i que mai s’han estudiat tots els materials recuperats ni s’havia tornat a intervenir al jaciment, que havia quedat cobert per vegetació, fins ara. Fruit d’aquests treballs les restes han emergit de nou, se n’ha aixecat una topografia i obtingut una fotogrametria. Els materials arqueològics recollits també aporten novetats.

In 1961, Guillem Rosselló Bordoy carried out the first and only archaeological excavation in the Bronze Age funerary hypogea assemblage of Son Sunyer, one of the largest in the municipality of Palma. Other eminent researchers, such as Wilfred J. Hemp, Josep Mascaró Pasarius and Cristòfol Veny, had dealt with it before and later, although the recovered materials have never been fully studied, nor has any intervention been done on the site, entirely covered by vegetation, until now. As a result of these works, the remains have resurfaced once again and a topography and a photogrammetry have been obtained. The archaeological materials collected also provide new information.
