[cat] Aquest article tracta d'oferir una síntesi de l'abast teòric de la justícia vindicatòria. el material empíric es troba sobretot en un llibre publicat anteriorment. La justícia vindicatòria reformula els aspectes socials i judicials que s'han tractat habitualment de manera superficial i esbiaixada en interpretar les compositiones i les vendettas a les societats antigues, medievals i tradicionals.

[eng] The aim of this article is to provide a synthesis of the theoretical scope of vindicatory justice. Its empirical basis can be found in an earlier book by the author. Vindicatory justice reformulates the social and juricial aspects which have usually been dealt with in biased or perfunctory way in the literature on compositiones and vendettas in ancient, medieval and traditional societies.
