The objective of this project is to carry out a detailed study of the Roman architecture and construction techniques in a representative selection of towns in the Straits Circle –Carteia, Baelo Claudia and Gadesand to compare them with those on the Moroccan coast, particularly Banasa. The idea is to undertake archaeological studies, paying special attention to the construction processes. Architecture is one of the most important material manifestations of urban societies, as it brings together the greatest technological advances and is a faithful reflection of their ideological, economic, religious and cultural aspects.
